Falls Church High School PTSA

Mission & Goals

The FCHS PTSA supports and advocates for our students by partnering with staff, families, and the wider community to create a safe and inclusive learning community where all students can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

Together we:

• Strengthen the relationship between students, families, staff, and the community by fostering better communication. 

• Ensure ideas and opinions are heard and valued.

• Provide opportunities to heighten school spirit, encourage family togetherness, and support social wellness programs within our community.

• Provide support for FCHS programs and staff appreciation events through purposeful fundraising.

• Encourage and organize volunteer support for school and PTSA programs and events.

• Advocate for FCHS families on matters that impact our school, including the current renovation.

Objectives

The Falls Church PTSA is a non-profit volunteer organization that supports the Falls Church community of students, families, teachers and staff in many ways, including:

• Hosting meetings to keep families, students and staff connected and updated on school information, offering a forum for open communication  

• Coordinating and delivering the Jaguar Pantry program; offering students and families in need a more reliable and sustainable resource of food and connection to the FCHS community.

• Coordinating teacher and staff appreciation programs and to support them and show gratitude for all they do for our students. 

• Advocating on behalf of our Falls Church community.

• Supporting the Graduation Party - a  celebration party to  honor our graduating seniors held on graduation night; providing a safe, drug and alcohol-free evening for the entire senior class.

• Supporting clubs and other teacher-led initiatives that contribute to a meaningful high school experience.

• Coordinating community updates and action requests to advocate for FCHS.
